John Meckler joins Primum as VP of Production & Development

John joins the team as VP of Production & Development and will be LA based. His career began at Warner Independent Pictures working in Marketing & Publicity. Then he followed Mark Gill (WIP's Founder & President) to work in development as a Creative Executive at The Film Department, Gill's and Neil Sacker's finance and production company. In 2009, he produced the award winning (www.thesuicidebrothers.com) short-film "The Continuing and Lamentable Saga of The Suicide Brothers". We are all happy to have John on board.

Fashion Rio installation continues to go well

A couple of days into Fashion Week, and it is all moving along well. More declarations of L-O-V-E pouring in from around the city and especially from the crowd on site here. Limite's team has captured a number of notable carioca confessions, all worth checking out on the site. In addition, with the help of a little bubbly, our friends in town from the states, Chris Cole and John James let the cameras know how they felt about Rio.

Rio Eu Te Amo goes multi-media at Fashion Rio

In a broad collaboration with the production team, our friends at OM.art, and Fashion Rio, today we launched the first initiative for the campaign of Love for Rio. The endeavor brought together the vision of architect Mari Stockler, the carioca stylization of Oskar Metsavaht, and a lot of L-O-V-E from people all over the city.

The new visual identity made us all FALL IN LOVE WITH RIO 10 TIMES: 10 images that capture Rio's iconic landmarks. The first t-shirt, produced by Osklen bears the film's poster of Rio at sunset.

The space itself was situated in front of the entrance to the main catwalk at Fashion Rio. The display wall featured the 250+ declarations of love on 5 lcd screens each outfitted with directional sound on one side; and on the other side more screens dedicated entirely to the evolution of Cities of Love. These showed interviews with Rio Eu Te Amo directors Fernando Meirelles and José Padilha, Fashion Rio director Paulo Borges, and Osklen founder Oskar Metsavaht. Additionally, we showed the Paris je t'aime 'making of' featurette and two unreleased shorts from New York, I Love You (directed by Scarlett Johansson and Andrei Zyganistev). Big thanks to Emmanuel Benbihy for helping us get all of the materials. Hats of to Luis Vidal and the whole team over at Limite Produções for capturing all of the interviews around town, and the same to Paulo Perez and the design team at BossaNova Interactive for getting the site up in time for launch.

The inauguration of the space was a success as our CFO, Christian de Castro, did a great job presenting to the early crowd who gathered for the opening.
